St Catherine’s has contracted A.I.M Allied Services, to provide Physiotherapist’s as part of our new Wellness Program, healthcare initiative. The aim of the Wellness Program is to provide multidisciplinary allied health services to the residents of St Catherine’s to increase health and wellbeing. The program focus is on mind and body fitness.
The Wellness Program offers individual Physiotherapy service privately to the residents of St Catherine’s who are wanting specific therapies in the comfort of their room. There are many benefits to participating in the program, including managing pain, exercising safely in the grounds and community, building strength and endurance, and socialising with other residents. Physiotherapy is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical treatment option that can help reduce mental health issues and improve overall quality of life.

Residents are offered regular 1:1 therapy session (30 minutes) with a Physiotherapist at a scheduled cost per session. In the allocated time residents have the opportunity to access client centred therapeutic services including:
- Individualised exercises to increase community access
- Individualised Rehabilitation

- Ultrasound
- TENS machine
- Weight management programs using additional exercises
- Vestibular therapy and coordination exercises
Dr Amie Meads along with our Care Manager Heila Brooks oversee the Wellness Program to ensure our residents receive the finest health and wellbeing outcomes.
